Greater Shenandoah Area Historical Society Cookbook

This cookbook, dedicated to the women who helped to settle the Shenandoah area, features not only recipes from local residents, but a full section of "Ethnic Recipes".

The "Ethnic Anthracite Cooking" section features specific "Coal Region" recipes for food like City Chicken, Mozhee, Bleenies, and even Boilo. Regional recipes are also featured in this section, demonstrating Shenandoah's diversity.

From Irish, German, or Lithuanian food to recipes from El Salvador and Italy, you're sure to find that perfect ethnic creation!

Historical Shenandoah Videos

"Shenandoah, A Video History" - "Shenandoah" is an exciting, education 90 minute video documentary that covers the fascinating local history of Shenandoah, Pennsylvania."Shenandoah" allows the people of the community to tell the dramatic story of their town in their own words. This video is filled with rare photographs, historical reenactments, a music soundtrack with folk tunes played on instruments of the 1800's and interviews with Shenandoah residents and local historians.

"Old Schuylkill, A Video History" - This video tells the story of Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania, from its orgin in the 1700's through the end of the "Molly Maguire Era". "Old Schuylkill" is a video that natives of Schuylkill County - and anyone who loves histry - will cherish for years to come.

Both videos were produced by the award-winning film production team of Patterson-Brandt, Inc. the cost of each is $24.95 plus $3.50 shipping and handling fee.

Town Postcards
Four distinctly different postcards are available to send off to family and friends. Each postcard features a special part of Shenandoah's historic past, from the stained glass window work of the town's churches to the old railroad station, each one can be a window into the past. Postcards are 50¢ each.
