Welcome to the Greater Shenandoah Area Historical Society Web Site! We invite you to visit our site which is devoted to the rich history of Shenandoah and its surrounding patches including Brownsville, Lost Creek, Lost Creek #2, Raven Run, Shenandoah Heights, Turkey Run, and Upper and Lower William Penn.

One of the missions of our Society is to disseminate knowledge of the history and heritage of our area. We hope that this site will be a beginning for that process. Please understand that this is just a introduction! We will be adding many new areas of interest as we keep updating and expanding the site. If you have suggestions or questions, we encourage you to contact us. We welcome your input, for it is through communication that we will be able to grow.
Whether you are a life-long resident, trace your roots to Shenandoah or are just browsing, you are sure to enjoy the stories and pictures detailing the area's rich history. Check out our calendar of events before your next visit. And please do visit us! We love company!

Don't forget to visit our gift shop. We have something for everyone, if it pertains to Shenandoah, including our multi-award winning video on the history of Shenandoah.

If you enjoyed your visit with us, we invite you to become a member of the Greater Shenandoah Area Historical Society. Your membership dollars help us to continue our work to bring new programs, projects and community activities to our residents, their families and friends. We would like to include you in our family, so join now!
